Robin Puerner, Founder
Robin, along with her husband, Bill, founded and directs the MOYA Foundation. She is a woman of faith, a wife, and mom. Her occupation of 25 years was in performing arts, teaching, and Christian ministry. After learning their fourth biological child, Moya, is Autistic, Robin’s main goal became raising their children and helping Moya find her voice, while occasionally performing and functioning as an itinerate minister. As each of their children become independent, Robin endeavors, through the MOYA Foundation, to help other children with unique needs in third culture countries find their voice and calling in life.
Bill Puerner, Founder
Bill is Robin’s husband and the father to his wonderful family. After working as a successful business manager for many years, Bill is now using his management skills to help further the success of several ministries, kingdom businesses, and nonprofit organizations including the MOYA Foundation. In experiencing the victories and struggles of life with his own Autistic daughter, Bill believes in the vision of the MOYA Foundation. This vision of helping children with special needs and their families around the world to live fuller lives and know Jesus, he feels, is the most important work of his life thus far.
Jacob Wood, Internship Director
Jacob is the Internship Director for the MOYA Foundation. He has extensive travel experience in other countries and has worked with several ministries serving abroad. He attended and studied in two prestigious ministry schools. Jacob has a passion for growing the Kingdom of God by building, restoring and strengthening this generation’s relationship with their Heavenly Father. He loves the adventure of life and serves to see this generation walk in the fullness of their individual callings by putting their faith in action Based on Jn 10:10.
Elliot Adeyemi, Construction Project Manager
Elliot Adeyemi is MOYA Foundation’s Construction Project Manager in Africa. With his previous experience as a building contractor, he currently oversees all construction and development of the MOYA Centre in Nigeria. It is in Nigeria where he, his wife, and two small children reside. As a strong Christian Elliot is an Elder of his church. He is very interested in state government and works hard to bring the possibility of transformation to the lives of children with special needs in Africa.
Kevin Kolcheck, Web Administrator
Kevin is MOYA Foundation’s web administrator and handles most of the foundation’s social media, in addition to other administrative duties. He is a Christian, husband and proud father to his only child, Oliver. Kevin has worked for and volunteered for various ministries over the last several years, and it was through this involvement that he first met Bill, Robin, and their family. In addition to his duties with the MOYA Foundation, he is also a full time Computer Science student at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
Sarah Kolcheck, Graphic Designer
Sarah designs MOYA Foundation’s print materials and assists with social media material. She is a Christian, and loves doing life with her husband Kevin and son Oliver. The ability to use her creative skills to further great causes, such as the MOYA Foundation, makes her job even the more enjoyable. Sarah is also a full time graphic designer at a small business in Brownsburg, IN, promoting child nutrition in public schools.
Margo Noel, Deaf Communications Project Officer
Margo is MOYA Foundation’s Deaf Communications Project Officer. She works to bring communication tools to the deaf community in third world countries. She is a wife and mother of 3. Her faith is in Christ. Margo began wearing hearing aids at age 3 and received cochlear implants beginning 2014. Though her college degree is in Graphic Design, she loves seeing the benefit her personal experience can bring to others in the deaf community all over the world. (Matthew 11:15)
Abigail Smith, Staff Writer
One of Abigail’s many roles in life is Staff Writer for MOYA Foundation. As well as being a wife, she is the embarrassingly proud mother of three amazing individuals. She is also constant servant to her three cats commonly referred to as The Writers Guild. Growing up with a deaf Mother gives Abigail a unique perspective and furious desire to help those with special challenges in life. She uses the power of the written word to be a loud and result-seeking advocate for those who might have been silenced by their circumstances.
Zoe Puerner, Seasonal Administrative Assistant
Zoe is a sophomore at Wheaton College, and is studying the field of International Relations. Interest in this field was sparked by mission involvement in multiple countries, from experiencing varying levels of involvement from governmental workings to grassroots meetings. Zoe has acted as a worship leader and teacher alongside her family, and enjoys helping others to recognize their calling in Christ.
Kyle Tharpe, Representative to Moody Bible Institute
Meet Kyle Tharpe, born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana. He is MOYA Foundation’s Representative for Moody Bible Institute. Kyle is currently in his Junior year, and is majoring in Biblical Studies. He serves as the president of the Student Missions Fellowship on campus and desires to help equip the global church so they can more effectively serve their local congregations. Kyle has a heart for the nations and is especially interested in India. He is working toward his Masters degree and hopes to move to Chennai, India to begin ministry.
